The Agency will ensure all new employees during new hire orientation complete yearly in-service programs relevant to personal care services and the patients served.
16 B. New Life Health Care Agency shall offer a minimum 12 hours or in-service education each calendar year. Certified homemaker-home health aide shall obtain, at minimum, 12 hour of in-service each calendar year which shall be documented in the personnel record.
Aides who work only a portion of the calendar year (such as new hire) or have a documented period of inactivity (such as a leave of absence) shall obtain a pro-rated number on in-service hours based on the number of full moths worked. For these aides a minimum of one hour of in-service for each full month of work is required.
